The Steelhead run of Lake Erie has become an addiction between me and the boys in Pittsburgh.  This was the first year that I used a fly rod to catch these silver monsters and did well for a novice.  We fished Elk Creek basically most of the time.  The conditions were bitter cold and ice was not our friend but none the less everyone caught fish and great time was had.  Steelhead will instantly turn you into a fanatic the first time you have one taking your line out.  Hugh was lucky enough to catch a 13lb steelhead and my biggest below was 9lbs 27".  Enjoy the photos and stay posted for more!
